DISCHER washing chamber
The short cleaning times and low running costs make rapid temperature increase necessary with thermal disinfection. Therefore great importance has been placed on a small washing chamber volume.
A production method has been developed in which the edged chamber is no longer welded but deep-drawn in order to manufacture a durable washing chamber with much greater resistance to material fatigue due to the thermal strain. Clean finishing guarantees corrosion resistance and ensures that all the surfaces and parts are disinfected after the cleaning programme. The perfectly hygienic surfaces of the welds and surfaces prevent microbial growth.
Dripping onto the utensils is prevented by the sloped chamber ceiling.
DISCHER washing chamber door
The washing chamber door has a fitted emptying tray and higher sides to permit emptying of utensils without spills. This prevents liquids sloshing out when the door is closed. After placing the bedpans and urine bottles in the holders, they empty automatically into the chamber interior when the door is closed. Intervention in the washing chamber is not necessary.
Bacterial hotspots are safely prevented by the approved labyrinth seal of the stainless steel chamber. The washing chamber door only has one drilled hole for the lock at the upper panel for the same reason. No other drilled holes are required thanks to the use of an electric door limit switch. The labyrinth seal also prevents water leaking out during cleaning operation. Thus the risk of contaminating utensils already cleaned is excluded.
Reliable hygiene and extremely simple handling had priority in the design of the washing chamber handle. The handle is wire-formed meaning that no dirt or contamination can deposit in edges and corners. Any contamination is detected immediately and can be eliminated without problem. The handle points upwards when the door is open for improved handling.
The door spring and pivot are designed so that the in-house technician can replace them quickly without the need for any special tools. This guarantees low maintenance costs and brief downtimes.
The washing chamber door is double-shell to prevent noise pollution.
